Challenge:  How Many Toiletries Could You Buy For Just $10?

We #RVA Frugal Bloggers are back at it again! Our first two challenges last Fall have lit the fire in all of us to continue to try & find ways to give back with our knack for savings!

For the past month - myself & 5 other local Richmond Frugal Bloggers;  Alison from Richmond Bargains, Stephanie from Coupon Clippin' Mommy, Tiffany from Young & Frugal in Virginia, Kim from Day by Day Savings, and Angie from My Four Monkeys have been scouring the sales in order to try & get as many toiletry items for just $10 (w/out tax)!  All of our bounty will be donated to the Safe Harbor Women & Children's Shelter to help those in need.

So without further ado - here is what I personally & we collectively accomplished!

I purchased a grand total of $83.62 worth of toiletries for just $9.55 spent out of pocket!  This was a savings of 88.58% for 24 items! 

February was a really busy month in my house and I didn't focus enough attention on the sales, as I should have.  I still feel great being able to donate to the shelter - just a little disappointed I didn't have time to push myself a little further to do a little more.

Here is what I was able to purchase for just $9.55!

2 - Colgate Total Toothpaste 4oz
2 - Crest 3D Vivid White Toothpaste 4oz
5 - Dove Deodorant 2.6oz
2 - L'Oreal Vive Pro Shampoo & Conditioner 13oz
2 - L'Oreal Styling Products 
1 - RevitaLens Multi-Purpose Solution 4oz
1 - Softsoap Body Wash 15oz
1 - Reach Toothbrush

We did such a great job!  Between the six of us we collected $468.81 worth of toiletries for just $59.13 out of pocket, which is an average savings of  87.39%!  High fives go out to Kim who won our challenge (2nd time in a row!) by purchasing $106.52 worth of toiletries for $10.32 out of pocket!  Alison purchased $90.33 worth for $10.14 out of pocket, Tiffany purchased $73.88 worth of toiletries for $9.83, Angie purchased $60.32 worth for $9.21 (not bad for her first challenge!) and Stephanie purchased $54.15 worth of toiletries for $10.08 out of pocket (her bounty isn't included in the photo above as she wasn't able to meet up with us last night)!
