This is a great example of how I get our toiletries on the cheap or even FREE. When I find sales like this - I stock up & purchase as many as I can, have coupons for or that the sale will allow me too. I will admit that we are brand specific for our toothpaste. We stick with Crest Whitening with Scope. This doesn't cause any problems because even though this isn't the exact brand on sale at Walgreens - I have 5 tubes under the sink and I guarantee you that before those 5 tubes have been used - it will go on sale at CVS or Walgreens where when combined with a coupon - I can get it for less than $.25 a tube to even possibly FREE!
Here is a great example:
Here's how:
* Buy 1 Crest Cavity Protection Toothpaste (6.4 oz.) regularly priced at $2.29
* Use the $0.75/1 coupon from the 2/7 P&G insert (expires 2/28)
* Stack^ with $1.50/1 Walgreens coupon from the February coupon booklet (expires 2/27 and found in the store)
$0.04 after coupons
Another hint is that you will only need one Walgreens Coupon from the February Coupon Booklet as this coupon will ring up for each matching item you purchase. So if you have multiple $0.75/1 coupons for Crest Toothpaste - you can start the process of saving on your toiletries and grab a couple to last you until you find your toothpaste on sale again for cheap or FREE!
^ If you are new to couponing - a couponing secret that isn't always known is that you can stack a 'manufacturer' coupon with a 'store' coupon to increase your savings!
Enjoy!
