Sunday Coupons

From what I am seeing Sunday is going to be a BIG DAY for coupons in the Sunday Paper! There will be 4 Inserts; Red Plum, Smart Source, Kelloggs/Keebler Special Insert & the Proctor & Gamble Insert.

You can preview the list of coupons that will be avaliable here and here. These are just guidelines since coupons can vary somewhat by region, but is usually as close as you can get to what will be in your paper. Now is the time to review the offerings & decide how many papers you will wish to purchase or which friends/family members you'll seek out for their extra inserts! Look through your pantrys, cabinets & closets to see which goods & toiletries you will be needing over the next few weeks or couple of months based on the coupons. What is available Sunday could bring you lots of savings in the near future if you match them up right!

Also - tomorrow is the 1st of the month so Coupons.com will be resetting their coupons. If there are some available today that you want - go print them now because they may not be available or offered when they update for next months coupons. Babies R' Us Diaper Deal!

Babies R' Us has some really great diapers deals starting tomorrow!

A two day sale starts tomorrow, July 31st - August 1st, buy two Pampers Diaper Value Boxes (92ct & higher) and receive a $15 Babies R' Us / Toys R' Us Gift Card!

This is a really great deal because you can also use Manufacturer Coupons to receive an even greater discount! I really don't like to buy diapers for my little one until I can find them for close to $0.20 per diaper. I currently buy Pampers Baby Dry's Size 4 from Babies R' Us. They have 176 diapers per case and are $41.99 per case, which comes out to a little under $0.24 per diaper. If you take advantage of this deal and purchase two boxes at $83.98, minus the discount of the $15 gift card, gives you a total of $68.98, which is $0.195 per diaper! Which is great in itself. However, you can put two manufacturer coupons with this deal also. There are P&G coupons for Pampers that expire tomorrow, 7/31 - so now is the time to use those! If you pair 2 $1/1 Pampers purchase this will take an additional $2 off your purchase leaving your total (with the $15 gift card after purchase) of $66.98 which is $0.19 per diaper!!! This is such a great deal!

A few ideas for some extra cash!

Everyone is always looking for ways to increase their cash flow. Especially with the current economic times. There are quite a few ways to make extra money via the internet - it just truly depends on how much time you have. From what I have found - you get out of it what you are able to put into it!

One of the main ways that I have found to make extra money on the internet is by completing surveys. I have become especially popular with survey sites since I became a mommy & have a new demographic in my household! A few of my favorite sites are MySurvey, Opinion Outpost, Valued Opinions, Toluna (used to be Your2Cents) and HCD Surveys.

Once you register with these sites you will need to complete your demographic profiles. Once those have been completed you are open to any surveys that you may qualify for. Most times you will receive an email prompting you to follow a link & answer a few preliminary questions to qualify for the survey. The surveys vary in length & payout. Clearly the longer the survey the more you will be compensated.

Most of these site will allow you to cash out once your balance reaches $10. They will send you a check, which can take a couple of weeks but i've always received them!

When you get a chance check these sites out. Extra cash is always appreciated by everyone, especially when its as easy as giving your opinion!

Tomorrow is Freebie Wednesday at Arby's. Each Wednesday this summer Arby's has been offering one menu item free (per person) each Wednesday, usually with the purchase of a soft drink. We always enjoy eating at Arby's but it can get a little expensive - so this is a great way to enjoy Arby's for a little less!

The calendar of free items for the remaining Wednesdays through the end of the deal, August 26th is:

Restaurant.com is a great resource for gift certificates to local restaurants where you can eat out for less. Their everyday prices are already a great deal - as a $25 gift certificate is normally only $10! They currently have an amazing deal through tomorrow where you can get 80% off of a $25 gift certificate - putting the final cost at $2!

Go to Restaurant.com, search your local restaurants & choose a $25 gift certificate (please note any special restrictions that the restaurant places with the gift certificate - ie minumum purchase or restricted days). Upon checkout - enter the code NAPKIN to receive the 80% discount!

Even better - if you go to Restaurant.com through the Upromise, Ebates, or Mr. Rebates website - you can earn a percentage of that purchase back! A couple good deals at Kroger

There are a couple deals worth noting that I came across today with my shopping trip to Kroger.

The first is Tyson Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts are on sale for $1.79 which is a great price & I grabbed a couple to put in my freezer!

The other great noteworthy find that I came across today are the select varieties of Right Guard Deoderant that are on sale for 10 for $10! They are usually $2.49 each so that is a great deal to begin with. I had 3 $1 off purchase of 2 Right Guard Deoderant coupons. So I used this as a "stock-ortunity" (as they say in the couponing world) and I grabbed 6 deoderants. With the sale & the coupons I ended up paying $.50 each. So I got 6 for $3.00 - only $.51 more for 6 than I would have paid for one at full price! The hubs will be set with deoderant for a good while! haha!

Also - I did take advantage of the P&G sale!

I purchased a bottle of Cascade orginally sale price for $3.99 - $1 off for sale purchase of 4 P&G products - $1 off ($.50 cent coupon doubled by Kroger) - $.50 P&G *esaver coupon = $1.49 final cost.

I purchased a package of Tampax Tampons & a package of Always Pads. They were each original sale price $2.99 each - $1 off for sale purchase of 4 P&G products - $1 off ($.50 cent coupon doubled by Kroger) - $.50 P&G *esaver coupon = $.49 each for a total of $.98 for both.

Finally I purchased a package of Bounty paper towels orginal sale price at $6.99 - $1 off for sale purchase of 4 P&G products - $.50 ($.25 cent coupon doubled by Kroger) - $.25 P&G *esaver coupon = $ 5.24 final cost.

So the original sale price of these 4 items was $16.96 and with the additional sale & coupons I paid $ 7.71 for them which is a savings of $9.25 or 55%!

* I forgot to mention that there is no way for Kroger registers to identify when you are using one of the P&G esaver online coupons, that is connected to your shoppers card, in addition to an actual coupon in hand at the store. So essentially you have the opportunity to use 2 coupons per item for P&G if they are available. This isn't proper couponing etiquette and its not something that I encourage. Sometimes I fail to remember which items I have coupons loaded on my shoppers card for & admittedly, sometimes I could really use the discount I receive when I use both coupons! Either way - its a personal decision to how you go about this.

Kroger Proctor & Gamble Savings 7/26-8/8

Sunday Coupons

Tomorrow is Sunday and the Sunday paper holds very valuable coupons! This weeks coupon inserts will be one Smart Source and one Red Plum. I usually preview the coupons that will be in the paper here, at Taylortown Coupon Preview. I will read through & take note of the coupons for items that we normally use. Based on what is going to be available is how I make my decision to how many newspapers I will buy. Normally its just one paper. However, if there are some high dollar coupons available or important coupons for items that I normally go through frequently - I will buy two, sometimes three papers for extra coupons. When I do this - the coupon values will always be more than the cost of the extra newspapers! Another way to get extra coupons without paying for additional newspapers is to ask any family members or friends to pass along what they don't need or use.

In addition the the Sunday paper coupons I also print coupons from a handful of online sites. A really great site that I use a lot is coupons.com. Others that I frequent are RedPlum, Smart Source and AFullCup. With many of these sites you are able to print 2 of each coupon. Simply hit your back button & click to print again.

Now if you take these coupons & pair them up with the weekly sale ads from your stores to plan your weekly meals - you can really stretch your dollar!

Extra Savings

Everyone always loves a good shopping excursion to Target - I know I do! Did you know that you can make your shopping trip even better by using a little known tactic for extra savings? When shopping at Target you can stack a Target Store Coupon with a Manufacturer Coupon for the same item for extra savings! Many times this makes the item very cheap - if not FREE!

Target store coupons can be found in a couple ways. I usually receive monthly coupons in the mail from Target since the new Target opened up near us at Rt 288 & Rt 60, which has been very nice! I also print Target coupons online from the Target website, here, and from AFullCup.com. Select 'Tools' and then 'Target Coupon Generator'. AFullCup is a wonderful online coupon resource for online coupons. I highly recommend registering & frequenting that site. The current Target Store Coupons are good through August 8th.

An example of some extra savings are the coupons for Kashi Cereal. Target currently has a $1off/1. Target is selling the individual bowls for $1 each - which will make them free. If you are looking for more & would prefer to buy a box. You can use the $1/1 Target Coupon, along with the $1.50/1 Kashi Cereal coupon from the Kashi website to save $2.50 off of the cereal!

For those of us that have little ones, especially little ones in diapers or that need formula, you can also stack store coupons with manufacturer coupons at Babies R' Us. This proves to be very valuable, especially with diapers! Also there is a $5/$25 purchase coupon online for Babies R'Us that is good from July 21st - July 29th.

Online Shopping Savings

I hardly ever pay full price and/or shipping when I shop online. The secret is within this website! RetailMeNot is a wonderful resource in finding discounts & savings for your online shopping. All you need to do is type in the web address of the site you are shopping to search for any available coupons or discounts. Its that easy! There are also coupon codes available at RetailMeNot for online food ordering for such sites as: Pizza Hut, Papa Johns and Dominos! So the next time you go to shop online don't forget to stop by http://www.retailmenot.com/ first to find any savings!

In addition to those savings - you can also earn money back from shopping certain websites with these two sites; Ebates and Mr. Rebates. These sites give you a certain percentage cash back on participating sites you shop and if you are currently new, they are both offering a free $5 upon sign up! That is $5 free!

Last but not least - is the college savings you can earn with your grocery, eating out & online shopping through Upromise. T.G.I. FRiDAY'S is one of my family's favorite restaurants. Not just for their great food but because they have many ways to save so we can have a nice meal out without breaking the bank!

They currently have a coupon out for their BYOB (Bring Your Own Buddies) Summer that is valid from July 22-August 31, 2009. The coupon enables you to save $5 off of each of your buddies' entrees, up to 10 people! They have many great entrees on their menu that are already reasonably priced - so add the coupon in the mix & you are talking about a great meal out with family and/or friends that is kind to your wallet!

My family also takes advantage of another great savings opportunity with T.G.I. FRiDAY'S. They have a rewards program called, Give Me More Stripes which gives you a point per dollar that you spend on your meals. The free perks start immediately! Upon signup you will receive a coupon via email that entitles you to one free appetizer or desert and a one time pass to skip to the front of the line!

With your Give Me More Stripes card - for every $100 in food purchases you will receive a coupon good for $8 off your next meal purchase. There is no limit to how many you can earn! In addition - I have often times received special offers on top of their standard benefits! I couldn't tell you the last time we've paid full price for a meal at T.G.I. FRiDAY'S. Old Navy Weekly

The Old Navy Weekly site has updated today! If you are new to the Old Navy savings - its certainly worth checking out! They like to keep you guessing so when the site updates & where the coupons are hidden varies. The only *hint* we have is the expiration date to the coupons from the previous week.

Go to the site & play around. Click, move & change things around to find your hidden coupons. They range from 10% off - $75 off $100 purchase. The high dollar coupons go quickly but there are still plenty good coupons to go around!

This is our new mission in life, as of late. It hasn't always been the easiest to follow, though at times its been a fun challenge.
